The Monday Onyeme Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and communities through education, healthcare, and social empowerment initiatives. Founded by Mr. Monday Onyeme, a visionary philanthropist, the foundation aims to create sustainable development and uplift marginalized populations, particularly in Nigeria.

Sir Monday John Onyeme, was born on March 30th, 1965 in Ibabu Community of Onicha-Ukwani, in Ndokwa West Local Government Area, of Delta State. At a very early age in life, he showed a great passion for education, hard work and Spartan discipline.
Sir Monday John Onyeme, started his educational journey at Army Children School, Sokoto, then Government Secondary School, Gummi in Kebbi State. He proceeded to Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda in Zamfara State and later to University of Calabar where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree Accountancy (Second Class Upper). His quest to be ICT compliant made him acquire a Certificate in Information and Communication Technology.
Sir Monday Onyeme also holds a Masters Degree (M.A.) in Business Management from the Northumbria University in Newcastle, United Kingdom and he is currently on a PhD programme in Accountancy. Lion Sir Onyeme started his working career in October 1990 as an Audit Trainee in the firm of Odili Nwankwo & Co Chartered Accountants in Enugu, where he did his National Youth Service Corps programme and thereafter, he worked briefly as an Assistant Lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura-Namoda, Zamfara State. Sir Onyeme also, worked with the following organizations National Electric Power Authority (NEPA), Commercial Trust Bank Limited, Octopus Continental Enterprise Limited, National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA),
Federal College of Education (Technical) Asaba and National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), where he served as Bursar for 9 years before his appointment as Executive Chairman of Delta State Internal Revenue Service in 2015, by His Excellency Senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Executive Governor of Delta State. He served in that capacity until few months ago when he was nominated as the Running Mate to Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevweri, the PDP Governorship Candidate for the 2023 General Elections.
Sir Monday John Onyeme, a Chartered Accountant per excellence is a Fellow of different professional bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), the Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professional Faculty (FCFIP), Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE), etc.
Chief Onyeme is a man of community relevance and global competitiveness. He has attended various international conferences as lead paper presenter and participant in Florida, Texas, London, Dubai, Oxford, Harvard, Mauritius, Paris, India, South Africa etc.
Sir Monday John Onyeme is a living legend whose generosity and sacrifice for others is immeasurable. Today, through his Monday Onyeme Foundation, over 800 undergraduate students of Ndokwa extraction has benefited from his annual scholarship programme, about 50,000 text books have been distributed to Secondary and primary schools as well as over 200,000 exercise books also to primary and secondary schools. Sir Onyeme’s believe in human capital development has led him to facilitate the employment of about …………… in to Federal and State parastatals, amongst them are Federal College of Education (Technical) Asaba, National Open University, Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian National Security and Civil Defense, Federal Road Safety Corps, Delta StateTraffic Management Agency etc.
Sir Monday John Onyeme is a recipient of several awards too numerous to mention, amongst them are Grand Award for Productivity in Africa (GAPA) in the area of Accountancy, Award of Excellence for Philanthropy and Community Development from Trumpet International News Magazine, Hard Work and Dedication to Nation Building – Kwame Nkrumah Pan-African Servant Leadership Award (WASUP) West African Students’ Union Parliament.
He is a Knight of St. Christopher (KSC) of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, a Past District Governor of Lions Clubs International District 404A1 Nigeria, A Progress Melvin Jones fellow of Lions International and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. He is patron of many humanitarian and Political organizations.
Sir Monday John Onyeme is happily married to Lady (Mrs.) Catherine Onyeme and the Marriage is blessed with lovely children.
